Zvezdara Forest was the venue for a special family and ecological event organized by Discover Serbia for Wargaming.

Wargaming Eco Family Day brought together 100 participants, including 45 children, with the common goal of spending a quality day in nature, learning about the forest ecosystem, and making a concrete contribution to environmental protection through various activities.

The program connected employees and their families through education, play, creativity, and a shared experience in nature.

Eco Family Day was not conceived merely as an outing or an informal gathering for employees. The program was designed so that each segment had educational, ecological, and social value.

Children and parents had the opportunity to explore Zvezdara Forest together, get to know its plant and animal inhabitants, and learn why urban forests are important for quality of life, biodiversity preservation, and a healthy environment.

Through activities adapted to different age groups, participants discovered how the forest ecosystem functions and how each of us can contribute to its preservation.

A special part of the program was dedicated to children, who became little explorers and nature guardians during a guided forest adventure.

The forest pedagogy program was neither a classic lecture nor an ordinary walk. Through an interactive story, tasks, and educational stations, children learned about trees, birds, hedgehogs, and other forest inhabitants.

At various points, they learned how trees grow, why forests are important to people and animals, how birds build their nests, and how to behave while in nature.

They observed canopies, listened to the sounds of the forest, and collected fallen leaves, pinecones, twigs, seeds, and other materials that nature had already left on the ground.

In this way, children didn’t just hear about nature – they touched it, explored it, and learned through direct experience.

After the forest adventure, a creative eco-workshop “My Forest” followed.

Using materials found during the walk, children created their forest postcards and creative works inspired by nature.

Each work represented a personal experience of the forest and a reminder of what the children had learned during the program. The workshop encouraged imagination, creativity, and a careful attitude towards natural materials, without picking or damaging plants.

Parents joined in the activities and helped the youngest, giving the program additional family value.

One of the most important moments of the event was the activity “Take Me and Plant Me”.

Each child received their own pine seedling, along with a personalized card and simple instructions for planting and care.

The idea was that the ecological story would not end with leaving Zvezdara Forest. The children took the seedling home to plant it and continue to care for it with their family.

The seedling thus became a living memory of the event, as well as a symbol of personal responsibility towards nature.

As it grows, children will be able to follow the results of their care and remember the day they became guardians of Zvezdara Forest.

In addition to the educational and creative program for children, participants also engaged in an ecological activity of tidying and cleaning the Zvezdara Forest area.

Through joint effort, waste was removed from the area where participants moved, leaving a concrete and visible result behind the event.

In this way, employees and their families showed that a corporate event can simultaneously be an opportunity for socializing and contributing to the community.

Participants were not just visitors to nature, but its active guardians.

During the event, exploration, creative work, ecological activities, socializing, and shared moments for employees and their families alternated.

Children gained new knowledge through play, while parents had the opportunity to get involved in their tasks and spend quality time outside the daily business and urban environment.

The program concluded with an exhibition of children’s works, a group photo, and the message that nature is best preserved when everyone takes their share of responsibility.

By participating in the Wargaming Eco Family Day program, Wargaming earned a total of 454 CSR points within the CSR League of Serbia.

The points represent a measurable result of the company’s, employees’, and their families’ engagement in activities that contribute to environmental protection, ecological education of children, and community improvement.

This result confirms that Family Day can be much more than a corporate gathering – it can become a program that simultaneously connects people, develops ecological awareness, and leaves a real mark on nature.

Wargaming Eco Family Day showed how significant family corporate events can be when connected with nature and a concrete socially responsible goal.

This day left behind a cleaned space, new knowledge, creative children’s works, 45 seedlings that will continue to grow, and a shared memory for 100 participants.

Through its Eco Family Day programs, Discover Serbia connects companies, employees, and their families with nature, creating events that bring joy to participants, as well as measurable benefits to the environment and the community.
