On one of the most precious natural oases in the heart of Belgrade – Veliko Ratno Ostrvo – Discover Serbia organized another environmental action that brought together volunteers dedicated to nature conservation. This time, employees of TX Group and Swiss Marketplace Group participated in the action, who jointly cleaned the island to a significant extent.
Over sixty volunteers participated in the action, divided into six teams to cover as much of the area as possible. Three teams worked from land, cleaning the shore and part of the forest, while three teams were on the water, using boats to access places unreachable from land. This combined action enabled the cleanup of hard-to-reach parts of the island, and volunteers collected a significant amount of waste in just a few hours, including bulky waste – carpets, furniture parts, and more.
– At today’s action, the volunteers worked tirelessly and I am grateful to all of them, as well as to their companies, for deciding to dedicate one of their days to the well-being of Veliko Ratno Ostrvo – said Vladimir Pavlović, founder of Discover Serbia.
Team building with purpose and contribution
For TX Group and Swiss Marketplace Group employees, this was not just a workday outside the office. It was a way to connect, socialize, and do something together that leaves a visible mark. Working in nature, shared tasks, and the feeling of contributing to the preservation of one of the most significant parts of nature that Belgrade has, created an atmosphere rarely achieved in classic team building activities.

Our organization, as always, provided complete logistical support and organization of the entire action: from transporting teams to the island, through protective equipment, vests, gloves, garbage bags, boats and tools, to coordinating teams on land and water. Every segment of the action was carefully planned to ensure efficiency, as well as the safety of all participants, which is always our top priority. This is another action we are proud of. We are confident that other companies will join us in similar challenges, because only through joint efforts can we preserve the natural treasures that Belgrade and Serbia have.
