On one of the most precious natural oases in the heart of Belgrade – the Great War Island – Discover Serbia organized another ecological action that gathered volunteers dedicated to nature preservation. This time, employees of TX Group and Swiss Marketplace Group participated in the action, significantly cleaning the island with their combined efforts.

Over sixty volunteers participated in the action, divided into six teams to cover as much of the terrain as possible. Three teams worked from land, cleaning the coast and part of the forest, while three teams were on the water, accessing areas unreachable from land by boat. This combined effort allowed for the cleaning of hard-to-reach parts of the island, and in just a few hours, volunteers collected a significant amount of waste, including bulky items such as carpets, furniture parts, and more.

– In today’s action, volunteers worked tirelessly, and I am grateful to all of them, as well as their companies, for dedicating a day to the well-being of the Great War Island – said Vladimir Pavlović, founder of the Discover Serbia organization.

For the employees of TX Group and Swiss Marketplace Group, this was not just a workday outside the office. This was a way to connect, socialize, and collectively do something that leaves a visible mark.

Working in nature, shared tasks, and the feeling of contributing to the preservation of one of Belgrade’s most significant natural areas created an atmosphere rarely achieved in traditional team-building activities.

Our organization, as always, provided complete logistical support and organized the entire action: from transporting teams to the island, to protective equipment, vests, gloves, garbage bags, boats, and tools, to coordinating teams on land and water. Every segment of the action was carefully planned to ensure efficiency, as well as the safety of all participants, which is always our top priority.

This is another action we are proud of. We are confident that other companies will join us in similar challenges, because only through joint efforts can we preserve the natural resources that Belgrade and Serbia possess.
