On May 14, 2026, a major joint ecological action was carried out on the Great War Island, involving employees from the companies TX Group and Swiss Marketplace Group.

Although volunteers from both companies acted as one team throughout the day, this news is dedicated to the participation and results achieved by TX Group within the joint action.

The action involved 14 volunteers from TX Group, who were engaged in cleaning the coast, forested parts of the island, and hard-to-reach locations that could only be accessed by boat.

Thanks to their dedication and teamwork, about 235 kilograms of various waste was removed from the Great War Island. In addition to plastic, packaging, and smaller waste, parts of bulky waste were found on the ground, which disrupted the appearance and natural balance of this protected area.

The action showed that even a smaller corporate team can achieve significant results when participants are motivated, well-organized, and focused on a common goal.

For TX Group employees, this was not just a workday outside the office, but an opportunity to connect through teamwork with colleagues and volunteers from Swiss Marketplace Group and together contribute to preserving one of Belgrade’s most valuable natural areas.

Discover Serbia provided full organization and logistical support – transporting participants to the island, protective equipment, gloves, bags, vests, boats, tools, as well as coordinating teams on land and on the water.

With an investment of 88,000 dinars and the participation of its volunteers, TX Group earned 68 CSR points within the CSR League of Serbia.

We thank TX Group and its employees for directing their time, energy, and team spirit toward preserving the Great War Island.
