The Belgrade’s Lungs initiative aims to make the capital greener with 500,000 trees, and so far 29,100 seedlings have been planted in the Surčin area. As summer heat begins, watering becomes a crucial step in preserving every tree. This action is dedicated precisely to caring for the seedlings, so they can survive dry periods and continue to grow at full strength.

Under the open sky, in the natural environment of Surčin, we gathered again with one goal – to give life and growth a chance to what we planted together.

This time, the action was marked by young and hardworking volunteers from the Children’s Innovation Center, who arrived at the site full of enthusiasm, ready to contribute to environmental preservation. In collaboration with the Discover Serbia team, who provided all necessary equipment and logistics, the watering of seedlings proceeded quickly and efficiently.

Working together, with smiles and good atmosphere, we successfully tackled the challenge of drought. This day has once again shown how important it is not just to plant – but also to continue caring for each seedling until it grows into a tree that will breathe for Belgrade.
