Discover Serbia, in collaboration with Microsoft, continues to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of our natural beauties. Our latest ecological action, held on May 24, brought together nearly 60 volunteers who worked together to maintain the hiking trails, one of the symbols of Deliblato Sands.

The volunteers were divided into eight teams, each tasked with maintaining and expanding the existing trails used daily by numerous recreational visitors. The trails are circular, so each was worked on by two teams—the red and the blue—in a friendly competition.

For the strongest volunteers, a challenge to clear vegetation was organized in the central part of Deliblato Sands. Equipped with protective gear and under expert supervision, the volunteers diligently worked on cleaning and maintaining the trails, creating safer and more accessible paths for all visitors.

This action was not only a physical effort but also an opportunity to connect with nature and contribute to its preservation. The maintained walking trails allow recreational visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of Deliblato Sands while helping to preserve the ecological balance of this precious nature reserve.

Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the support of Microsoft, we successfully completed this demanding action. This is our eighth ecological action with the Microsoft Development Center Serbia, and we are proud of all we have achieved together. We look forward to future ecological projects that will inevitably contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment as we continue to build a better tomorrow for all of us.
