Discover Serbia, in collaboration with Microsoft, continues to bring positive changes to our community. Our latest endeavor, held on May 24 in Deliblato Sands, involved 38 enthusiastic volunteers from Microsoft who contributed their hard work to building a children’s playground in the heart of Čardak.

The volunteers were divided into two groups, and their work had a competitive character. It all started with an exciting Kahoot quiz on environmental protection. The winning team got the opportunity to choose the location where they would work, selecting between building a new field or renovating an existing one, as well as the privilege to choose the craftsman who would assist them.

As a result of this competition, we have an extremely interesting and functional children’s playground. At the site where children had already dug out a play area, volunteers worked diligently to transform it into a safe and creative play space. With the help of materials and the expert support of two craftsmen, we renovated benches and swings, and built birdhouses, creating a true little paradise for the youngest.

Čardak is now enriched with a playground that is the product of teamwork and dedication from our volunteers. This is our seventh ecological action with Microsoft Development Center Serbia, and we are proud of all we have achieved together. We look forward to future activities that will inevitably contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment, as we continue to build a better tomorrow for all of us.
