Discover Serbia, in collaboration with Microsoft, conducted a successful cleaning action in the Zlatibor area, joining forces to preserve nature. This action brought together numerous volunteers, including Microsoft employees, forestry experts, and the Discover Serbia team.

• Date and location: The cleaning action took place in Zlatibor, following the course of the Crni Rzav river. The date was carefully chosen to ensure effective implementation of the action.
• Participants: In addition to volunteers from various fields, the action was attended by Nenad Stavretović, a full professor at the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade, and four forestry engineers from the Public Enterprise Srbijašume.

The action took place downstream, following the course of the Crni Rzav river, accompanied by a passenger vehicle that was available to participants throughout the event. The expert team from Discover Serbia oversaw the implementation of the action, providing support, instructions, and assistance to participants.

Given the nature of the action, special safety measures were put in place to ensure a secure environment for all volunteers. Forestry experts, along with the Discover Serbia team, provided adequate equipment for participants, including protective gloves and garbage collection bags. Medical personnel were present throughout the action for any potential emergency medical assistance.

Although the amount of collected waste was not large, thanks to excellent organization and diligent work of volunteers, a large area was covered and successfully cleaned, making it suitable for tourists and local residents.

This action represents an exceptional example of successful partnership between Discover Serbia and Microsoft, highlighting the importance of joint contribution to nature conservation and supporting socially responsible initiatives.
