The action in our capital city took place on Saturday, July 15. On this occasion, volunteers from “Yandex” company were engaged in collecting garbage in the wider area of Kalemegdan, including parts of the May 25 Settlement that gravitates towards Kalemegdan.

The volunteers were divided into several groups, each led by a forestry engineer – an associate of Discover Serbia.

The action began at 10 AM with participants gathering, and lasted until 3 PM.

After the volunteers gathered at the agreed location, groups were formed, protective gloves and garbage bags were distributed, and the cleanup action began.

During the action, we covered Kalemegdan and part of the May 25 Settlement that gravitates towards Kalemegdan. This was also the goal of the cleanup action in this part of the city during this event.

The reason we chose this particular location is the fact that one of Belgrade’s most attractive locations is quite dirty, which does not benefit Belgrade or its residents. Especially during the peak tourist season.

Our desire is to present one of the oldest and, according to many, the most beautiful part of the city in the best light to our fellow citizens and visitors. By carrying out the planned action, we are confident we will succeed in this. Above all, thanks to the volunteers from “Yandex” company, who, just like all of us, prioritize a clean Belgrade.
