We had been planning this kind of action for a long time, but each time it seemed unattainable, complicated, and lacking a few pairs of hands.

But we did not give up on the idea.

When we sent the project to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, we never dreamed that it would receive such a response and that it would be our biggest project so far.

The project required many volunteers, as the idea was to plant five thousand (5,000) seedlings around Lake Lekovito, which, when grown, will be a windbreak belt.

We invited several IT companies and offered them team building in the form of planting saplings in Baranda. They recognized this type of action as a great way to thank the only planet we have for its generosity, and also an excellent reason to get out of the office and the city, or even their own comfort zone.

Nature itself supported the idea on Saturday. The sun warmed us (although the wind there really “whips”), making physical work easier.

We walked, laughed, held a shovel and spade (some) for the first time in our lives, yet all together. A great team of IT people, who were eager to work outside the office, as well as our association members ready to give instructions and logistically support another eco action, created a more than excellent working atmosphere, and we are endlessly grateful to everyone for that.

In addition to reforestation, a forest medicine session was also held.

We will certainly repeat this unforgettable experience in 2022, and you are all welcome.

It‘s really a good feeling when you finish, look at the rows of trees, and think: “One day this will be a forest. I planted it with my own hands. Wow!”

We have many different actions planned for 2022, and we hereby invite all environmentally conscious companies to join us.
