Holiday events are best when they are both fun and meaningful – when children go home with a smile, but also with something they have made themselves. We organized just such a New Year’s celebration on December 7th at the offices of Zühlke, where around 60 children of employees participated in a program that combined creativity, play, and holiday spirit. Everything was complemented by a real New Year’s atmosphere – with music, children’s and New Year’s songs, smiles, and that warm energy that the holidays bring.

We realized the event in cooperation with the Children’s Innovation Center, through a New Year’s electronics workshop where the children were introduced to the basics of simple electrical circuits in a fun and practical way and turned them into holiday creations – decorations and cards that they proudly took home. That part of the program was especially nice because it combined learning and play, so the children naturally adopted new concepts through creative work, while the parents enjoyed watching how interested and proud the children were of what they made.

After the creative part, a real holiday scene followed – an interactive balloon show, like a small performance, in which the children actively participated, followed the story, and were part of the fun from beginning to end. Everyone, both young and old, enjoyed everything, because the program was playful enough to delight the children and charming enough to entertain the parents.

And to make everything even more exciting, we decided to turn the “classic” moment with Santa Claus into a game: we went on a search for Santa Claus through the offices, together with the parents. That part especially marked the event – as a small team adventure in which both young and old laughed, and the finale brought the most important thing: a meeting with Santa Claus and a holiday moment to remember.
