We are delighted to announce that Merck has joined our network of CSR partners actively participating in nature conservation and environmental improvement. Their volunteers, with tremendous energy and genuine enthusiasm, planted 600 new seedlings in Surčin, contributing to the creation of green zones that will enhance air quality and the appearance of this part of the city for years to come. This marks the beginning of a partnership that carries a warm, shared mission—to give back to nature a part of what it provides us and to build a more sustainable future together.

The afforestation action took place in a wonderful, motivating atmosphere. The volunteers worked as a team, planting seedlings that will create a new, stable green belt in Surčin in the years to come. Each planted seedling was a gesture of care, responsibility, and a shared desire to leave a mark.
As always, the Discover Serbia team provided all the necessary equipment, planting material, tools, and organizational support to ensure that the action was safe, efficient, and had maximum impact. After planting, the socializing continued in the restaurant, where we enjoyed lunch together, exchanged impressions from the field, and further connected through an eco-quiz. Through the quiz, volunteers were able to demonstrate their knowledge — both from everyday life and what they gained during the action — but also to learn something new about nature and environmental protection.

We thank Merck for their trust, dedication, and the big heart with which they approached this action. Their contribution is significant, but what is most inspiring is the atmosphere that their volunteers brought — genuine care, joy of working in nature, and a desire to be part of positive changes.
We look forward to future joint activities and invite other companies to join us. Together we can create a more beautiful, greener, and healthier environment, in which new generations will have more nature, more space to live, and more reasons to be proud.
