We proudly present NLB DigIT as a new CSR company in the Discover Serbia program dedicated to creating a healthier and higher-quality environment for children. As part of the Let’s Renovate for Children initiative, 50 NLB DigIT volunteers joined the major renovation project of the Maja Kindergarten playground in New Belgrade. Through joint engagement, warm atmosphere, and tremendous desire to contribute to the community, the volunteers became a key part of our effort to provide the youngest with a more beautiful and greener space for play and daily activities.

Thanks to the energy and creativity of NLB DigIT volunteers, as well as the support of our expert team consisting of forestry engineers from Discover Serbia, the kindergarten yard was completely transformed in just a few hours. The central part of this transformation was the creation of a labyrinth made of 200 cherry laurel seedlings, designed to stimulate children’s motor skills, resourcefulness, imagination, and independent exploration. The idea of the labyrinth is also educational – children will learn about the world of plants, learn how to care for seedlings, water them, and understand how greenery directly affects air quality and the everyday environment.
Alongside the planting, volunteers thoroughly renovated the existing furniture – benches, play structures, and fences were repaired, everything was refreshed with paint, and concrete surfaces were painted in bright colors to make the courtyard a more pleasant and inspiring place. Discover Serbia provided all materials, tools, logistics, and expert guidance, while the volunteers brought energy, cooperation, and team spirit that enabled this space to be transformed at an incredible speed.
