As part of the global World Cleanup Day initiative, Discover Serbia organized an environmental action on Fruška Gora from September 19 to 20. 100 volunteers from the Go Green Team company participated, including their colleagues from Budapest, which gave the action an international character and added symbolism of joint action. The goal was to contribute to the global effort of cleaning the planet and improving the environment, and through this action, we showed that by joining forces, we can make concrete and visible changes.

Discover Serbia gathered volunteers who enthusiastically set about improving Fruška Gora. Our team provided gloves, bags, and all the necessary tools so that all participants could focus on the work and the common goal. The first task was to clean and improve the fitness trail in the National Park. Volunteers removed waste that had accumulated over time, and then spread a layer of wood chips along the entire trail, giving it a natural look, a safer and more comfortable surface, as well as extending its lifespan. In this way, they contributed to creating a more pleasant and safer space for all park visitors.

The action continued with a special task – assembling and installing 50 birdhouses. With enthusiasm, teamwork, and a good atmosphere, volunteers built new habitats that will provide shelter for many bird species on Fruška Gora. This part of the action had additional symbolism: teams from Serbia and Budapest worked side by side, demonstrating how joint effort and cooperation can leave a lasting mark on nature.

The Discover Serbia team organized and oversaw the entire action, with expert supervision from forestry engineers and provided complete logistics and materials. We are proud of the results and the collaboration with the Go Green Team company, and we sincerely thank them for their dedication. We owe special gratitude to the Fruška Gora National Park for their hospitality, cooperation, and useful suggestions. We believe that such projects show a true example of socially responsible work, and therefore we invite other companies to join us in future actions, so that together we can make lasting and positive changes in our community.
