In Dorćol, in the courtyard of the “Danube Kindergarten”, another beautiful story of unity and humanity has found its chapter. Yandex volunteers, full of positive energy, willingness, and readiness to contribute to the community, gathered to beautify and enrich the space where children grow and play every day. With smiles and a great working atmosphere, they managed to completely transform the courtyard in just a few hours – they painted worn-out surfaces, arranged the play area, and brought color and warmth where it was lacking.

As always, the Discover Serbia team provided complete organization and logistical support, including all necessary materials, tools, protective equipment, and a clear work plan. After the introductory briefing and task distribution, Yandex volunteers immediately rolled up their sleeves and demonstrated what team spirit in action means. Sanding worn-out wooden surfaces and painting fences and benches restored a neat and safe appearance to the courtyard, and damaged furniture was also repaired.

A special part of the action was dedicated to landscaping the green areas to give the courtyard a more beautiful and natural atmosphere. Volunteers jointly planted lavender – a plant known for its fragrance, longevity, and ability to attract beneficial bees and butterflies. In this way, they wanted to encourage teachers and children to take care of the courtyard, to regularly water, nurture, and monitor the growth of lavender as a shared responsibility and reminder of the importance of nature in everyday life.

To make the courtyard even more functional and fun, volunteers additionally equipped the play area – a new basketball hoop was installed, and children were provided with balls to have more opportunities for sports, socializing, and developing healthy habits. Thus, the kindergarten space became not only more beautiful but also richer in content, with more reasons for smiles and outdoor time.

This action once again demonstrated that positive changes occur when people combine energy, knowledge, and the will to help. We sincerely thank the company Yandex and their exceptional volunteers for the trust, initiative, and inspiration they brought to this project.
