With energy, smiles, and sincere willingness to contribute to the community, seven volunteers from Winterhalter participated in a reforestation action in Petrovčić settlement, where they collectively planted 300 seedlings. This environmental initiative is part of the “Lungs of Belgrade” campaign, and these volunteers’ effort and enthusiasm demonstrated that even a small team can make a big impact in the fight for a healthier environment.

Winterhalter, known for advanced and environmentally responsible solutions in professional dishwashing, once again shows that care for the planet doesn’t end at the workplace. By participating in this action, employees have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable development principles, turning words into concrete steps toward a greener Belgrade.

The “For a Greener Surčin” project is implemented by the Municipality of Surčin and the “Discover Serbia” organization with financial support from the European Union within the “EU for Green Agenda in Serbia” project. This “EU for Green Agenda in Serbia” project, with technical and financial support from the European Union and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in cooperation with Sweden and the European Investment Bank, with additional funding provided by the governments of Sweden, Switzerland, and Serbia.

By planting common oak, sessile oak, and linden trees, the volunteers contributed to creating new green spaces that positively impact air quality, biodiversity, and quality of life. Each planted seedling is now a symbol of shared responsibility and hope for a cleaner, greener future.
