With joint efforts, and with the unselfish help of the socially responsible company Triglav, we managed to transform the courtyard of the “Zvončići” kindergarten in New Belgrade into a real oasis of greenery! Through this action, in which volunteers, children and their teachers participated, we planted as many as 250 seedlings of cherry laurel, thus creating a healthier and more beautiful environment for the youngest to play and grow up.

Our team, together with volunteers from Triglav, children and their teachers, worked on preparing the land and planting seedlings. Forestry engineers from our team provided professional support, ensuring that all activities were carried out to the highest standards. The goal was not only to improve the air quality and aesthetics of the space, but also to create a natural shelter that will provide children with a more pleasant space to play and stay outdoors.

In addition to planting, we organized interactive educational eco workshops for children. In cooperation with licensed educators, the children learned through play about the importance of nature conservation and responsible attitude towards the environment. These workshops not only gave children the opportunity to express themselves creatively, but also encouraged them to explore and understand the importance of environmental protection.

The “Let’s Decorate for Children” initiative, organized by Discover Serbia in cooperation with responsible companies, aims to create environmentally friendly and more beautiful spaces for children. The partnership with companies like Triglav is an example of how we can achieve significant changes in the local community with joint efforts.

This action, in addition to contributing to the aesthetic arrangement of the yard, has long-term benefits for children, including improving air quality, providing natural shade and promoting mental well-being through spending time in nature.
