On Saturday, October 14, 2023, an autumn action of landscaping and cleaning of Obedska Bara, one of the oldest ornithological reserves in the world, was carried out.
Discover Serbia, in cooperation with Microsoft, has successfully implemented an ecological action to collect pedunculate oak acorns. This initiative took place on October 3, 2023, and represents another step towards preserving the most valuable species of hardwood in Serbia.
Discover Serbia, in collaboration with Euronet company, conducted a successful ecological action of collecting pedunculate oak acorns in the Morović Forest Administration. This initiative, which took place on October first, aimed to preserve and protect the most valuable hardwood species in Serbia, the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur).
Following a powerful supercell storm that struck the area, trees and branches collapsed, covering trails normally used by wildlife and tourists. In order to restore and preserve natural balance, Discover Serbia and Microsoft company volunteers from the local community launched a cleanup action to make the trails passable again.
As part of comprehensive environmental conservation initiatives, Discover Serbia, Tara National Park, and GoGreen Team have joined forces to carry out an exceptionally significant ecological action. The focus of this action was on preserving the area of Kaluđerske Bare, a tourist zone of Tara National Park.
The ecological team-building cleanup of Ada Ciganlija, an area that can attract up to 50,000 tourists during certain parts of the year, is a challenge even for the Discover Serbia team.
The action was planned by our expert team in collaboration with the Ada Ciganlija Public Enterprise and the HR team of Sport Time company.
Discover Serbia, in collaboration with Microsoft, conducted a successful cleaning action in the Zlatibor area, joining forces to preserve nature. This action brought together numerous volunteers, including Microsoft employees, forestry experts, and the Discover Serbia team.
Discover Serbia, together with Microsoft, conducted a significant environmental action at Međuvršje, utilizing two boats from the ecological fleet and one catamaran. This action was also attended by Nenad Stavretović, a full professor at the Faculty of Forestry, contributing his expert approach to cleaning coastal areas.
The CULT Bike Route project, implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Montenegro, the NGO Discover Serbia from Priboj, and the Student Organization of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering from Belgrade, within the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) – Serbia-Montenegro Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020, was presented at a virtual conference to potential users.
The action in our capital city took place on Saturday, July 15. On this occasion, volunteers from “Yandex” company were engaged in collecting garbage in the wider area of Kalemegdan, including parts of the May 25 Settlement that gravitates towards Kalemegdan.
