More than 100 volunteers from Ardagh Metal set off from Belgrade to Kopaonik with one clear idea – to leave a mark measured by deeds, not words, through joint efforts.

Clean the Rivers Initiatives
The new eco-company Servier joined our green movement and demonstrated immense strength at their first event. As many as 50 volunteers from the company stood shoulder to shoulder with us and, as part of World Cleanup Day, took on the challenge of cleaning Great War Island – an area where waste continually accumulates, threatening one of Belgrade’s most beautiful natural sanctuaries.
The Discover Serbia Association, in collaboration with Bosch company, carried out the largest and most massive cleanup action of the Obedska Bara Special Nature Reserve. More than 200 volunteers from Bosch company and 30 members of the Discover Serbia Association participated in this significant initiative.
Another successful cleaning action was held on the beautiful Lake Međuvršje, organized by the ecological organization Discover Serbia in cooperation with the socially responsible company Emil Frey
The WBF organization and the Discover Serbia team jointly launched the regional initiative “Future of Rivers = Future of the Region,” bringing together partners from across the Western Balkans in the fight for clean rivers and healthier ecosystems. Through collaboration with Discover Serbia, Bosch company became part of this major endeavor and involved 90 of their employee volunteers, who made an enormous contribution to achieving the action’s goals through their work.
A dynamic volunteer action was carried out on the Lim River: eco rafting – an innovative combination of team rafting and river cleaning, in which 32 volunteers from the Go Green team participated.
The Discover Serbia initiative “Clean the Rivers of Serbia” season has opened, and the first ecological action of the year was held on one of Belgrade’s most precious natural gems – Great War Island. In collaboration with FedEx, more than 30 volunteers bravely embarked on their first eco day adventure, ready to leave a positive impact and contribute to nature conservation. This action was the first organized attempt to clean the island both from the water (Eco fleet) and from the land, giving the entire endeavor a new dimension and strength.
This Saturday, Marsh Company, together with its employees and their children, organized an ECO FAMILY DAY in the unique environment of Obedska Bara — one of the oldest and most valuable protected natural areas in Europe, only about fifty kilometers from Belgrade.
We are proud to announce that Discover Serbia is one of 30 organizations from across the Western Balkans that have received support from the Western Balkans Fund (WBF) to implement the regional environmental initiative “Future of Rivers = Future of the Region”.
Discover Serbia and Ardagh Metal Packaging joined forces in an unforgettable two-day team building event that combined ecology with Serbia’s natural beauty.
