After a successful cleanup operation at Lake Međuvršje near Čačak, 30 dedicated volunteers from the GoGreen team continued their mission to preserve the natural environment, this time in the picturesque Zlatibor village of Semegnjevo.

Lake Međuvršje has experienced an ecocide during this period due to enormous amounts of floating waste, which was our call to action. Thirty volunteers from the GoGreen team, supported by six rafting boats from the Discover Serbia eco fleet, bravely faced this challenge.
Together with the Discover Serbia association, the GoGreen Team carried out an impressive action aimed at preserving nature and improving the environment in Surčin! An incredible 18 volunteers planted as many as 500 trees on a designated plot in Petrovčić.
GoGreen Team volunteers, in collaboration with the Special Nature Reserve “Kovilj-Petrovaradin Marsh” and support from Vojvodinašume, conducted a significant cleanup operation to clear fish spawning grounds in this natural treasure. The action took place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, gathering 100 volunteers, including international support from Hungary.
As part of comprehensive environmental conservation initiatives, Discover Serbia, Tara National Park, and GoGreen Team have joined forces to carry out an exceptionally significant ecological action. The focus of this action was on preserving the area of Kaluđerske Bare, a tourist zone of Tara National Park.
Discover Serbia and GoGreen Team, united in ecological efforts, organized a successful cleaning action of the Crni Rzav riverbank on Zlatibor on July 8th. This initiative, named “Ecological Action Zlatibor,” made a significant contribution to preserving the natural beauty of this area.
Discover Serbia and GoGreen Team, united in ecological efforts, organized a successful Lake Perućac cleaning action, achieving an impressive result of 428 collected bags of waste, equivalent to 28 cubic meters of refuse. This initiative had significant impact, with participation from enthusiastic volunteers, national park representatives, and experts from the Discover Serbia association.
On Saturday, June 3rd, a cleanup action was held on the Bosut Canal, which is an integral part of the Zasavica Special Nature Reserve. This initiative brought together more than 70 volunteers from various IT companies from Belgrade. Six boats from the Ecological Fleet were engaged in the action, during which 6m³ of floating waste was collected.
In an effort to preserve the aquatic ecosystem, Discover Serbia carried out a unique cleanup of Lake Međuvršje. During this one-day environmental engagement, volunteers removed waste and debris from the water surface, making the lake cleaner and safer for wildlife and the local community.
In line with its commitment to environmental protection, the Discover Serbia team organized an impressive reforestation campaign on Mount Jeljen. This ecological action aimed not only to enrich the local ecosystem but also to provide volunteers with the opportunity to directly contribute to a greener and healthier environment.
