On Saturday, June 3rd, a cleanup action was held on the Bosut Canal, which is an integral part of the Zasavica Special Nature Reserve. This initiative brought together more than 70 volunteers from various IT companies from Belgrade. Six boats from the Ecological Fleet were engaged in the action, during which 6m³ of floating waste was collected.
In an effort to preserve the aquatic ecosystem, Discover Serbia carried out a unique cleanup of Lake Međuvršje. During this one-day environmental engagement, volunteers removed waste and debris from the water surface, making the lake cleaner and safer for wildlife and the local community.
In line with its commitment to environmental protection, the Discover Serbia team organized an impressive reforestation campaign on Mount Jeljen. This ecological action aimed not only to enrich the local ecosystem but also to provide volunteers with the opportunity to directly contribute to a greener and healthier environment.
We neither hide nor can conceal that the “Let’s Arrange for Children” initiative is one of our favorite actions. On the second day of December, the Gulliver kindergarten in the heart of Belgrade – in Vračar municipality, was on the agenda.
The usual activities under the working title “Ecological Action” were carried out at Obedska Bara on the first weekend of November. Although the weather was not favorable to the participants, the achieved results are worthy of attention. This time, around 150 volunteers gathered, many of them with their offspring, for whom this action was primarily intended.
The Discover Serbia Team proudly presented the successfully conducted cleanup action of Lake Međuvršje under the name “Morava Must Be Clean”. This action represents the first deployment of the ecological fleet to a lake and is the result of collaboration with GoGreen Team volunteers and the Čačak tourist organization.
Discover Serbia and GoGreen Team, under the umbrella of the “Ecological VoLim Expedition” initiative, once again brought together enthusiastic volunteers to dedicate themselves to cleaning the Lim River and raising awareness about ecological challenges. This adventurous expedition was not only about cleaning, but also about promoting love for nature and environmentally responsible behavior.
The “Day for Ciciban” action was held at the Belgrade kindergarten “Ciciban”, organized by the Discover Serbia association. Forestry engineers and our volunteers, together with the kindergarten children and their parents, greened and beautified the space where they spend their time.
On the hottest day of the year, Discover Serbia, in partnership with the volunteer group GoGreen Team, carried out an ambitious ecological action called “Keep the Danube Blue”. Although the high temperatures were challenging, the enthusiasm of 46 dedicated volunteers did not wane, but became an additional motivation to protect our beautiful river – the Danube.
Discover Serbia, in collaboration with the volunteer group GoGreen Team, has conducted another successful ecological cleaning action, this time focused on preserving the beauty of the Kratovska River Canyon. This action brought together 50 dedicated volunteers from the GoGreen Team, with the support and engagement of four forestry engineers from the Discover Serbia team.
