BASF VOLUNTEERS JOIN CHILDREN IN GREENING THE “ISTOK” KINDERGARTEN

The Discover Serbia Association, continuing our valuable “Let’s Tidy Up for Children” initiative, has taken another significant step towards creating a more pleasant and healthier environment for our youngest. Dedicated volunteers from BASF Serbia joined preschool children in planting 160 cherry laurel seedlings in the yard of the “Istok” kindergarten in New Belgrade, which is part of the “11 April” Preschool Institution and has more than 350 enrolled children.

SPRING BEAUTIFICATION OF KINDERGARTEN AND ECO LESSONS FOR CHILDREN

On April 3, the Belgrade kindergarten “Sunčica” was the epicenter of ecological changes. More than 120 preschoolers, along with the kind kindergarten staff, joined the Discover Serbia association team in landscaping the kindergarten yard located in an impressive villa near Vuk’s Monument.

SPRING BEAUTIFICATION OF ONE OF BELGRADE’S LARGEST KINDERGARTENS

Kindergarten “Skadarlija”, one of the most significant preschool education institutions in Belgrade, radiates with new splendor at the beginning of this spring! Located in the bustling old city center for 70 years, this kindergarten currently serves more than 600 children and employs 100 people, which is why we are particularly proud to have been given the honor of enhancing this oasis of play and happy childhood.

REPORT ON THE IMPLEMENTED ACTIVITY – SCHOOLYARD IMPROVEMENT OF ‘KING PETAR THE FIRST’ PRIMARY SCHOOL

Discover Serbia and Microsoft jointly carried out an activity to improve the schoolyard of ‘King Petar the First’ Primary School in Belgrade, located at King Petar Street no. 7. This educational institution, designed by architect Jelisaveta Načić, represented a symbol of modernity in primary education, not only in Belgrade but also throughout Serbia during the early 20th century.

15.11.2023. In 2023, on a morning when the rain was incessant, volunteers gathered and set off on their mission, gazing at the clouds. However, upon arriving in Petrovčić in Surčin, nature rewarded them—the sun shone, heralding the success of this ecological endeavor.
