The Discover Serbia team, together with its long-standing partner, the Bosch company, organized a major renovation initiative at the “Srna” kindergarten in New Belgrade. In addition to the Discover team and Bosch employees, parents of children attending the kindergarten, institution staff, and educators currently undergoing practical training at the kindergarten also participated in the initiative.
“I attended this kindergarten as a child, and now my two children go here. That’s why I gladly accepted the invitation and came to help. This kindergarten has a beautiful yard, and I’m glad that today’s initiative will make it even more beautiful,” said Ivana, a mother and one of the volunteers.
During the initiative, new benches were installed and existing ones were repainted, new waste bins were placed, and swings, seesaws, and climbing frames were refurbished. The children particularly enjoyed that the concrete play area received new colors, as well as ten new games where they will practice motor skills and agility.

Following the initiative, the yard gained a completely new energy, providing children with a safer and more beautiful space to play. This initiative has once again shown how significant changes can occur when a community unites around the right values.
“The most beautiful part of this initiative is that we were all united around the same goal, which is for the children at Srna kindergarten to have a better and more functional place to play,” said one of the educators who participated in the initiative.

A Joint Result – A More Beautiful, Safer, and More Functional Kindergarten Yard
Thanks to this initiative, the yard of the “Srna” kindergarten now looks more organized and functional. The combined energy of partners from Bosch company, the Discover team, parents, and educators showed how much a community can achieve when it unites.
Such initiatives represent an important part of the “Let’s Arrange for Children” initiative, which Discover Serbia has been implementing for years across Serbia together with socially responsible companies, schools, kindergartens, and local communities. Through this initiative, more than forty spaces for children have been arranged and greened to date—including kindergartens, schoolyards, and parks.
Through these projects, we are not only changing the appearance of the spaces where children spend their time, but also actively working on creating a healthier environment, developing ecological awareness, and connecting the community around important social issues. The particular significance of these initiatives lies precisely in bringing together companies, parents, institutions, and volunteers around a common goal—creating a more beautiful and higher-quality childhood for the youngest.
