On one of the most beautiful natural gems in the heart of Belgrade – Great War Island – another remarkable ecological action was organized by Bosch and Discover Serbia, with the support of volunteers from SOS Children’s Villages.
More than 100 volunteers from Ardagh Metal set off from Belgrade to Kopaonik with one clear idea – to leave a mark measured by deeds, not words, through joint efforts.
The new eco-company Servier joined our green movement and demonstrated immense strength at their first event. As many as 50 volunteers from the company stood shoulder to shoulder with us and, as part of World Cleanup Day, took on the challenge of cleaning Great War Island – an area where waste continually accumulates, threatening one of Belgrade’s most beautiful natural sanctuaries.
As part of the global World Cleanup Day initiative, Discover Serbia organized an environmental action on Fruška Gora from September 19 to 20. 100 volunteers from the Go Green Team company participated, including their colleagues from Budapest, which gave the action an international character and added symbolism of joint action.
The Discover Serbia Association, in collaboration with Bosch company, carried out the largest and most massive cleanup action of the Obedska Bara Special Nature Reserve. More than 200 volunteers from Bosch company and 30 members of the Discover Serbia Association participated in this significant initiative.
A major ecological action took place on the banks of the Galovica canal, one of the key waterways connecting Surčin and New Belgrade, where volunteers from Belgrade Airport powered by VINCI demonstrated exceptional dedication to nature protection.
As part of the Roll Up Our Sleeves initiative, 100 volunteers from Yandex gathered to jointly contribute to environmental preservation. The locations of this major environmental action were Kalemegdan and May 25th Park, in the immediate vicinity of the Danube River and Yandex offices.
On May 31, the Discover Serbia Association organized Microsoft Family & Volunteering Day – an event that gathered over 200 participants from Microsoft employees and their families.
Yandex has demonstrated what true commitment to community and nature looks like. At the beautiful Deliblato Sands, 120 volunteers, employees, and their family members gathered for a unique environmental Family Day event. With smiles, energy, and plenty of enthusiasm, they participated in various activities that left a lasting mark on preserving this natural gem.
The Discover Serbia initiative “Clean the Rivers of Serbia” season has opened, and the first ecological action of the year was held on one of Belgrade’s most precious natural gems – Great War Island. In collaboration with FedEx, more than 30 volunteers bravely embarked on their first eco day adventure, ready to leave a positive impact and contribute to nature conservation. This action was the first organized attempt to clean the island both from the water (Eco fleet) and from the land, giving the entire endeavor a new dimension and strength.
